  9.    New release of the well-known bootpic program.  The 4.00 version
  10.    introduces many new features.  Just take a look what the new SysPic can.

  12.    SysPic 4.00                               * - a star feature :-)
  13.  
  14.       o is small & VERY fast! (picture decompression routines written
  15.         in optimized assembly)
  16.     
  17.       o shows IFF-ILBM pictures of any size and resolution,
  18.         supports AGA modes (also HAM8)
  19.  
  20.       * has a flexible script-like language which allows you to display
  21.         configurable text with hard/soft info, also with typewritter and
  22.         shadow effects
  23.  
  24.       * can display a realtime digital clock on the displayed picture
  25.  
  26.       * can fade-in picture and fade-out it to Workbench (with selectable
  27.         rate) - this works in asynchronous manner (i.e no delays) -
  28.         mouse pointer is also faded
  29.  
  30.       * can play IFF-8SVX samples or Protracker modules with volume slide
  31.         synchronized to fade-out
  32.  
  33.       o centers picture both horizontally & *vertically*
  34.  
  35.       o centers the mouse pointer when exits

  37.       * has a very powerful random selector - an option assures that
  38.         a picture won't show twice until all pictures are shown

  40.       o forces Workbench to open behind the displayed picture so it can be
  41.         closed after whole Workbench initialization, also works with
  42.         the Directory Opus 5, the Workbench replacement

  44.       o has no problems with MCP 'PubModes' feature

  46.       * is iprefs-jump proof - sets overscan prefs before IPrefs will do it!

  48.       o picture can be displayed in a desired mode or just promoted to
  49.         specific monitor

  51.       o optionally blanks the pointer sprite so you won't see it when the
  52.         Workbench screen opens (it would look annoying)

  54.       * picture is automatically closed when something goes wrong with
  55.         booting - when an requester pops up on Workbench or so

  57.       o detaches from shell in an intelligent way (i.e after loading
  58.         the picture)
